- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆A great place to visit if you are a rock and fossil collector. The hiking path to the beach is great in summer but can be a little icy in late winter and early spring. The beach is made of slate which is great for fossil hunting but does not make it great for a swimming beach.By Peter T., October 27, 2016
